Barnard 174 is a dark nebula in constellation Cepheus (LDN1164 and LDN1165). A very dark and dense molecular cloud that absorbs pretty much all the light form the forming stars. Other celestial objects are visible in the frame such as LBN485, LBN486 and LBN491 emission nebulas.
The image was challenging to stretch due to the very dark core of the nebula and strong contrast with the other faint details in the frame.
Total 20 hours integration in LRGB. High resolution image here.
